27 Apr Viva Cloche!
By: Laura Nell Burton
Seriously, ya’ll—last week we got this party started! Friends old and new were #upclocheandpersonal at our debut and pop up shop. Thursday night we had a full house celebrate with us—thank you for making us feel so deeply loved. We had a ball partying with you!
Below is a cloche-up of some of our favorite #details. Photos by the lovely and talented Nicole Hatter.
Captivating centerpieces were created in-house by Cloche.
“Cloche” means “dome” in French which was our inspiration behind styling domed treasures. Also center stage were potted floral arrangements in pretty containers for both tabletop and patio. Many were planted in Orlandi Statuary (a wonderful family-owned business founded in 1911 by Egisto Orlandi who traveled from Lucca, Italy to Chicago) with tiny boxwoods. If you’ve been to Houston’s renowned Tiny Boxwoods restaurant (soon opening an Austin location) this is THE plant that gave it its famous name…sourced exclusively from one grower in the U.S. and only available in San Antonio through Cloche.
Several cloches showcased antique Britains soldier dioramas (read our Love Letter: “Onward Britains Soldiers” to discover more about these collectible treasures and send us a message if you can’t live without one, we’re already receiving custom orders!).
SA Fresh, donning pink Cloche aprons, catered delicious lite bites (served by the most capable and darling staff, EVER, we love you, SA Fresh!). Cloche cookies were prepared by our sweet friend, The Cookie Lady.
From the bottom of our happy hearts, thank you for walking alongside us in this new, magical journey. We have huge dreams, and we’ve only just begun…VIVA CLOCHE!
