By: Laura Nell Burton & Sarah Foster
HEAR YE, HEAR YE!
American royalty is coming to town!
We’ve got “Georgia on our minds,” y’all…because Danielle Rollins (The Queen D) is personally bringing her new clothing line, a runway success, to San Antonio April 5 & 6 just in time to shop for Fiesta! Save the date and join hosts Cloche Designs and M Interiors at The Argyle to shop her glamorous collection both days from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. with 10% of proceeds benefitting The Generations Fund at Texas Biomedical Research Institute.
One year ago, a beloved client and friend gifted Cloche with Danielle’s book Soireé Entertaining With Style as a thank you for our work curating her dreamy Easter Sunday brunch in Fredericksburg, Texas. That day the #clochegirls discovered a soul sister in Atlanta, and so began our long distance love affair with all things Danielle Rollins.
Originally from Texas, Danielle is an internationally known lifestyle expert with a full service interior design and gardens firm. She is a trained chef, contributing editor of VERANDA and a bestselling author. Her clothing line is quickly becoming the go to for women who want classic pieces made with couture details, with prices starting at $225.
Soirée was born when The Queen D hosted an at-home fête honoring none other than Oscar de la Renta, and the legend himself suggested she write a book about all things entertaining.
In Soirée, Danielle captivates with gorgeous at-home gatherings, including detailed descriptions for invitations, flowers, table settings, linens and over 80 original recipes. Fit for the parties in an F. Scott Fitzgerald novel, Soirée features mind-blowing entertaining concepts…tables descending from ceilings, a dinner party hosted inside Miles Redd’s all-mirrored dressing room, and boundless creativity like incorporating live parakeets in antique wicker cages into party décor alongside koi fish swimming atop lacquered Asian centerpieces.
Danielle is truly a sashaying encyclopedia of endless knowledge on how to live your most beautiful life. We literally cannot wait for her next lifestyle book, debuting in May 2019. There’s also rumor of a tabletop collaboration she’s working on with Mottahedeh…we are staying closely tuned for more deets!
Last fall, Danielle debuted her second clothing collection following the successful launch of her first party-ready line last spring. Iconic tastemakers and hostesses including Jackie Kennedy, Grace Kelly, Dorothy Draper, Elsa Maxwell and Lilly Pulitzer appropriately lend their names to Danielle’s relaxed yet elegant creations. The flowing skirts, matching tops, sophisticated jackets and easy dresses guarantee any woman beauty, comfort and confidence.
Named one of the “50 Most Stylish Southerners” by Southern Living, Danielle’s line features a fabulously fine Lilly Veral De Belval Madeleine Jacket in a fabric by the textile house Brunschwig & Fils (a thoughtful nod to her interior design prowess—it’s all in the details, y’all!). Vogue dubbed the fabric as one of the “Top Ten Picks” at Paris Design week.
Danielle’s collection, featuring breezy summer linens, versatile silk separates, and ever-classic Liberty of London cotton prints, has been featured in several publications including Town & Country and Modern Luxury’s The Atlantan. P.S. The girls at M Interiors and Cloche Designs have to admit, we couldn’t wait for Danielle’s trunk show to get here and last week we ordered Fitzgerald Liberty Skirts in different colorways. Arriving in just a few days, they fit each one of us like a Southern dream come true! The packaging alone made our hearts skip a few beats!
A quintessential steel magnolia, Danielle has overcome much adversity over the last decade, powering through trials with fiery persistence and determination to rebuild and set the stage for what has evolved into a bright, shining future. We deeply admire how she has triumphed over hardships through her relentless pursuit of beauty in all things. She bought what she called the “ugliest house” in Buckhead, Atlanta and transformed it into an Eden—a gorgeous laboratory for all her personal and professional aspirations. As a contributing editor of VERANDA, it’s no surprise it’s since been featured in the magazine itself.
Danielle is a Southern woman through and through with true grit—see for yourself by joining her adventures here. Suffice it to say, we’ll be in the presence of greatness when we roll out the red carpet for The Queen D in April…
The whole day through
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Georgia on my mind…”
We’re counting down the days and the waiting is only making our #clochegirl hearts grow fonder ♥
Welcome to San Antonio, Danielle!
