Starstruck Cinco de Mayo

One hundred loved ones gathered for Miss Courtney Lynn Looney and Mr. Michael Douglas Evans’ rehearsal dinner on May 5, 2017. The (darling-if-we-do-say-so-ourselves) invitation was designed in-house by Cloche with a custom Zazzle stamp and calligraphy by Zella Press.

Lovely Courtney is the brilliant show writer for USA Network’s Mr. Robot, a psychological thriller that follows Elliot (Emmy-winning Rami Malek), a young programmer who works as a cyber-security engineer by day and vigilante hacker by night, and Mr. Robot (Christian Slater), the mysterious leader of an underground hacker group who recruits him to destroy the firm he is paid to protect. Handsome Michael is a technical director for Interactive Installations. The couple divides their professional time between New York City and their home in Austin.

Courtney and Michael celebrated the evening with family and accomplished friends from the film industry including Mr. Robot creator Sam Esmail’s fiancée, the beautiful and charming actress Emmy Rossum, best known for her current starring role as Fiona in Showtime’s Shameless, and Christine in The Phantom of the Opera. Bless our Cloche hearts, we could hardly keep it together we were so starstruck meeting her!

The Cinco de Mayo fiesta was held at the couple’s favorite Austin, Texas Mexican food restaurant, El Mesón on South Lamar.

Dine at El Mesón on a Sunday to experience the brunch buffet. Tables are laden with a culinary tour of perfectly executed dishes from Mexico’s Interior: chilaquiles, carne guisada, and other breakfast items, handmade tortillas and tamales, appetizers, creative salads such as quinoa with sweet potato, sophisticated entrées such as duck crêpes in fiery pippin verde, decadent desserts, and refreshing agues frescos. El Mesón is owned and operated with absolute excellence by Marisela Godinez (pictured below with her (very serious, indeed!) husband).

It melted our hearts when she commented that she “never knew her restaurant could look so pretty.” We loved working with you, Marisela!

Place settings were dressed with teal napkins, menus and beautiful Paper Source red place cards (look closely below—yes, that’s THE Hollywood film director and screenwriter Jonathan Levine, best known for directing the 2011 critically acclaimed inspiring (true story) movie 50/50

We can’t wait to see his latest 20th Century Fox masterpiece, Snatcheddebuting THIS Friday, May 12 (just in time for Mother’s Day) starring Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn as a mother-daughter team in action!

Pictured above, Amy, Jonathan and Goldie!

Our sweet, special bride Courtney and her Michael are so loved…so many extraordinary people traveled to Austin to be present for this special evening. We’re still pinching ourselves that we had the privilege of planning their rehearsal dinner. Centerpieces, created in-house by Cloche, were a mix of white hydrangeas, tulips, freesia, roses, wax flowers and stalk artfully arranged with red orchids and willow branches.

We decorated El Mesón with white papel picado and colorful ribbon at every turn.

Below is more loveliness from the evening. Teal and red guided us in curating pretty party details every step of the way.

Our client Lorin, big sister of the bride, was a joy to work with!

VIVA Courtney and Michael!
