02 May 1st Birthday Prayer
Y’all! We celebrated our 1st birthday a few days ago! It’s been an entire year since Cloche opened for business last April. We have so much to be thankful for: a beautiful brand, a client base we could’ve only dreamed of; a darling new office; and a network of trusted vendors who enable us to deliver creativity, beauty and excellence in all that we do. Our first year wasn’t without challenges, but we’re undoubtedly better because of them. Suffice it to say, our rearview mirror is looking mighty fine from here! To celebrate ONE, we took a day off to get all dressed up and throw ourselves a proper (rosé all day) party.
Debbi Chesney, our local Community Chaplain, stopped by for birthday cake and to bless our office. I first met Debbi 25 years ago when she served as my high school Bible study leader. The mark she’s made on my heart since then is everlasting. She’s a warrior for Jesus, having spent her entire adult life in ministry. Check out her blog here. She’s beloved by one and all, including the #clochegirls. And, it’s a privilege to share the beautiful prayer she wrote for us with you. We stood in a circle of hands as she prayed these words over our future. May they guide us in the days ahead, and always. Debbi, we love you with all our grateful hearts †
“Put your heart and soul into every activity you do, as though you are doing it for the Lord himself and not merely for others.” ∼ Colossians 3:23
God, you know what Cloche does—the same thing You do. You take something messy and make it pretty. You take chaos and bring calm. Just like in Genesis, You brought calm to chaos.
You take ONE million different details and create something perfect. You make beauty from ashes.
As we enter this office, please show your presence to us and all that enter here. All that see the work of Cloche, may they see:
Your attention to details.
We speak peace, grace, mercy and your perfect order in this office—in all that will be spoken, thought, decided and done within these walls. And also outside of these walls that has our name on it.
Lord, thank You for the gifts You have blessed us with. We commit to using them responsibly in Your honor.
Give us a fresh supply of strength to do our jobs. Anoint our projects, ideas and energy so that even our smallest accomplishments may bring You glory.
Lord, when we are confused guide us. When we are burned out infuse us with the light of the Holy Spirit.
May the work that we do and the way we do it bring faith, joy and a smile to all that we come in contact with.
Bless all who work here and those whom we work for. Make us grateful for their gifts and patient with their shortcomings.
Just like them, when we walk in the door, we bring our share of both.
May we never forget that all good and perfect gifts come from You. So when we are presenting the perfectly detailed luncheon, wedding, party, celebration, gathering—may it be YOUR magic that we clearly see. You are our audience of ONE.
Thank You for this successful business and the opportunity to serve Your children.
We love you God!
In Your name we pray,
