For This Child I Have Prayed

We had the great joy of curating a baby shower at a special client’s lovely home for her sister-in-law. We’ve written this Love Letter to share some of the beauty with you (for more photos from this dreamy day visit our gallery).

The first time the #clochegirls meet with a new client we immediately start digging to unearth the central creative element of the event. This client hoped for an invitation incorporating original artwork that could ultimately be given to the baby as a gift. Since the shower was in December, she suggested a partridge in a pear tree theme.

In addition to event design and coordination, she also asked us to deck her halls for Christmas. We had a challenge at hand. How do you marry baby shower with holiday décor? Well, we began dreaming of a pink Christmas! The timing couldn’t have been more perfect because our client had just welcomed her own first baby girl into the world. At Cloche, we love non-traditional colors in Christmas décor.

We left our first meeting with her and immediately commissioned one of Cloche’s besties, Town & Country acclaimed watercolor artist Gina Langford. She illustrated a beautiful crest for this precious baby girl, designing it so it wouldn’t be limited to Christmas. We next created a Pinterest board to catalog our ideas.

On the first day of Christmas my auntie gave to me,
a partridge in a pear tree!

Cloche carried the crest across the entire party, curating invitations (and custom stationary for the baby) with Dixie Design Collective, custom stamps and napkins through Zazzle, cookies by Baked Goodness, and petit fours by Bird Bakery.

We transformed our client’s front driveway into a secret garden of intimate lounge seating for guests, creating dimension with faux boxwood hedges softened with fresh smilax.

Upon arrival, each guest was invited to say a prayer, while leaving a golden finger print behind for the baby girl.

We partnered with Luxe Event Décor, Peerless Events & Tents and BBJ Linen for rentals Truly, there is no limit to the number of vendor partners we will work with to deliver event perfection to a client. At Cloche, we don’t have a formula. We listen carefully to each client’s dreams and curate the team of vendor partners that are best aligned with their unique service needs.

We were thematic with her floral design, utilizing Cloche’s Orlandi Statuary containers, pink vessel collection, glass pear vessels, and golden birdcages. We shipped darling miniature fresh boxwoods and fir trees to San Antonio from our friends at Iseli Nursery in Oregon. Thank you to our entire contract floral team who knocked our creative vision out of the park!

A pair of fresh pear topiaries graced our client’s front door, and were repeated in a smaller scale on her dining room table.

We even commissioned tiny partridge nests from The French Secret, a sweet vendor partner we discovered through Etsy.

We carefully selected ribbon to deck her halls from a variety of sources including velvet, satin and a special hand-dyed silk made by Of The Earth.

We even wrapped her Christmas gifts in perfectly-pink paper!

Among the gifts was a gorgeous custom pillow for the baby-to-be made by our sweet friends at Lettrefina who digitized Gina’s artwork into an heirloom monogram.

Catering was effortlessly executed by our good friends at SA Fresh (we love you and your staff, Elliott and Nancy!).

It was a dreamy day, with a dreamy ending for us…a very happy client!

“Thank you SO much for today.
Everything was perfect— seriously every detail…”
